Holiday Carriages in Highland Park Village

It’s that time of year again!  The reservation system is now open for you to book your holiday carriage ride.  CLICK HERE to make your reservation now.  Threejays Carriages believes in providing the highest level of customer service in the industry by creating experiences for our guests like no other. Where else can guests step into a fantasy world reminiscent of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol”?   Guests will feel like they have stepped into an enchanting, nostalgic winter wonderland with the sound of horses’ hooves, sleigh bells, holiday carols and the company of friends and family.

Threejays Carriages holiday carriage rides will operate from Saturday, November 27, 2010-Sunday, January 2, 2011. Reservations can be made online only through November 15^th.  Guests may call in their reservations as well after November 15^th. Threejays Carriages offers many different types of horse-drawn vehicles to accommodate your group, whether you want a quiet romantic ride for two or you have a large exuberant group who want to sing carols as they trot down the street.  Gift Certificates may also be purchased online.  You may even choose to book one of our romantic Valentine Carriages that will be offered in February.  We are also available for private parties throughout the DFW Metroplex (not only for the holidays, but throughout the year).

Memorial Day 2010

We spent this Memorial Day doing a parade with the Caisson for the City of Granbury. It was a great parade. Small, but with a huge turn out of people on the square. We were in a group representing the U.S. Veteran’s Museum  including our Caisson, a float with some fabulous singers and the Liberty Bell.  It is always a somber feeling when the Caisson leads the Liberty Bell and it is ringing slowly and deeply. We stopped on the square and a country singer with a guitar sang a song about our soldiers fighting for our freedom. Not a dry eye in the town.

Valentine’s Day Carriages

Due to high demand, we are offering horse-drawn carriage rides in Highland Park Village for the Valentine’s Weekend.  A quiet, nostalgic carriage ride is a wonderful addition to a special evening. Cupid’s Carriages will be available Friday, February 12th through Sunday, February 14th by reservation only.  The cost for a one hour reservation is $150.  The carriages will depart from inside Highland Park Village and will also also be available as romantic transportation between area hotels and restaurants. Gorgeous White Horses

We are proud to announce our newest additions, Tiva and Tyee.  This gorgeous pair of white horses is now available for your event.  It has taken some time to get these two into service, but they have been well worth the wait.  TnT are full siblings, Appaloosa/Belgian crosses that are true white horses, five and six years old, over 17hh, athletic and elegant.  We look forward to providing you the excellence and service you demand, now with two more horses.

Holiday Carriages in Highland Park Village

DALLAS – September  2009 – Experience the magic of Highland Park Village on Friday, November 27^th, as the spirit of the holiday season comes to life. Yuletide festivities will take place from 2 to 6pm and will include cookie decorating , caroling, face painting, balloon artists and special events and offers at participating retailers.  The merchants of Highland Park Village are also hosting a toy drive that will benefit the S.M. Wright Foundation and Children’s Medical Center. Photos with Santa will be taken by Holt Haynsworth and one complimentary photo will be offered upon ordering online at www.haynsworthphotography.com.   Sponsors for the event are Park Cities People Newspaper and ParkCitiesMoms.com.   

“We are excited to invite the community to celebrate the holiday season at Highland Park Village,” says Ray Washburne, managing director of HP Village Parnters, LP.  “In changing the event from what it has been in years past to an afternoon full of festivities and a toy drive, we hope to see a huge turn out from the community and that this will continue to be an annual tradition for the families of the Park Cities.”  The holiday lights that have become a signature feature of Highland Park Village will be lit that evening for the first time of the season.  Performances throughout the day from  Park Cities Dance and Power  House of Dance will also be a part of the day’s festivities.  Additionaly, 15-minute carriage rides around the town of Highland Park will begin at 6pm.  Rides are available for an hourly rate for tours of the grandly decorated neighborhood .
